- General FAQ
How much will my website cost?
It’s likely that you know roughly how much you have/want to spend on your website.
From my point of view – there’s two ways to look at this. In theory it should cost what it costs. But, in reality by knowing up front what your budget is, I can pitch the right type of website for your budget.
For example, if you’ve got £500 to spend, then I’d probably suggest a small site with content already provided by you to keep costs down.
If your budget was £5000 then you’d get a custom design, a load more pages, plus some additional features that are going to give you stronger web presence and SEO.

Can I pay my website in monthly installments?
Yes, for certain projects I can provide this option to spread the cost of your website over 3-6 months.
Can I provide my own website content?
Yes, and the obvious benefit here is that you won’t have to pay for it. This is also a good option if your product or service is of a technical nature as you will be able to get all the precise details correct.
I do offer the option for website copywriting services if you’re stuck for words – and I can also source or team up with a professional copywriter of your choice.
Can you integrate e-commerce/booking systems/CRM's with my website?
Invariably yes, if you know which booking or CRM system you want to use please let me know during the discovery meeting.
I already have email accounts - can I continue to use these?
Yes, if your current email accounts are served from your website host (IMAP) I can migrate these over to Microsoft 365.
If your emails are hosted with a dedicated provider already such as Microsoft 365 or G-suite you won’t need to make any changes.
How long will it take to build my website?
This will depend on your requirements and my current workload, but if you already have pre-existing content the time for me to build your website will be decreased.
On average I advise between 4-8 weeks for website builds and 1-2 week for landing pages. E-commerce websites can take longer depending on the amount of products you have.
Will my website be mobile friendly?
Absolutely – this is a standard feature included with all website builds. With lots of users now using smartphones to access the web, it shouldn’t be any other way.
Do you provide website photography?
I have worked with local freelance photographers in the past on website projects and would strongly recommend this.
Your website is often the first interaction a potential customer has with your business. High-quality, professional photos create a positive and lasting first impression, helping you establish trust and credibility.
What type of industries do you build websites for?
I don’t have a particular niche and will consider any project, I have built websites for established businesses, small businesses, freelancers, start-ups and local sports groups.
Do you work with agencies for white label work?
Yes, I have experience in creating websites white label, working with both local freelancers and agencies.
This is usually beneficial for digital marketeers or graphic designers who need experienced support for website projects.
Which services do you provide directly?
I directly provide website design and build services, website support & maintenance and if your website is built by me, I can provide ongoing SEO support for it.
I work with other fantastic freelancers when it comes to PPC, email marketing and conversion focused web copy.
- Website Maintenance FAQ
Can you look after my website after launch?
Yes, every WordPress website requires hosting.
A simple way to think about it is that hosting is the land, and your website is the house. Without land, the house has nowhere to sit and cannot exist.
I’m more than happy to offer this service directly along with website maintenance and support
Do you provide website hosting services?
Yes, I use a reputable UK based supplier with high uptime rates and you have the option of using a more affordable shared hosting server or a PCI-DSS compliant higher performance server.
How much does website maintenance cost?
This will depend on exactly what support you need from me but typically this starts from £40.00 per month
Why is website maintenance important?
Regular maintenance helps safeguard your website against security vulnerabilities, such as malware, hacking attempts, and data breaches. By keeping software, plugins, and themes up to date, you minimize the risk of security breaches and ensure the protection of sensitive user data.
Do I have to take out a plan if I purchase a website from you?
Website maintenance is a completely optional service. However, it is strongly recommended as it’s a more cost effective option should something go wrong with your website.
Is there a minimum term for website maintenance?
No, you won’t be locked into a contract for website maintenance services.
If you choose to move ahead with website hosting from me- there is a minimum term of 12 months as this is purchased annually to keep costs down.
- Website SEO FAQ
How long does SEO take to work?
SEO is a long term strategy. Small improvements can be seen within a few weeks, but meaningful results typically build over several months as search engines recognise changes and trust grows.
Is SEO a one off service?
No. SEO works best as an ongoing process. Search behaviour, competitors, and algorithms change regularly, so continuous optimisation delivers the strongest and most sustainable results.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No one can guarantee specific rankings. What I do guarantee is honest, best practice SEO focused on long term growth rather than short term tactics.
Is SEO better than paid advertising?
SEO and pay per click advertising serve different purposes. SEO builds long term visibility and authority, while paid ads deliver immediate exposure. Many businesses benefit from using both together.
Do you only work with WordPress websites?
Yes, and usually I will only offer SEO services to websites I have built.
This is because SEO is far more effective when the underlying website is properly structured, technically sound, and optimised from the ground up. Working on a site I know well ensures time and budget are focused on actions that deliver real, measurable results rather than fixing avoidable issues.
How much does SEO cost?
This will depend on a variety of factors such as how competitive your industry is and where you are currently ranking.
Typically SEO packages start from £250.00 per month.
What areas of SEO will you look at?
The first and most important is your current website’s SEO, so I will produce an audit and prioritize what needs attention first.
I will then identify key search terms with high volumes of traffic that your website could target and plan around this.
Finally, I will look at off-site SEO tasks such as Google business profiles and other local citations.
Do you work with other contractors for SEO?
Yes, if your needs are better suited to an SEO specialist or if my workload cannot fit more SEO work in, I have a network of great SEO professionals who can work on your site. You will always be notified if another contractor is working on your website.
